Hello!

I am currently a rising sophomore at Cornell University studying Information Science with a minor in Creative Writing. Writing has become one of the forgotten arts of our current generation, with many young scholars treating it as a chore rather than an opportunity to express themselves. Thinking about English and Writing is not just about essays and assignments, but rather a chance to think differently about the world around us. It goes hand in hand with our daily lives, as improving your ability to read and write enhances how you think about speech and how you speak to others. Language is not merely a subject; it is a holistic approach to analyzing our thoughts and experiences and how we use that to express ourselves in communication, journaling, and creative thinking. 

What I will offer to my students is an opportunity to think differently about language, writing, and self-expression. As students develop their knowledge of the world as they grow older, it is crucial to simultaneously mature their ability to interpret, reflect on, and communicate their experiences with deep deliberation.
