The cross-country Tea Party Express tour was held in Boston, where the original tea party was initiated.  A former republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin participated the tour in Boson.  The original and the present tea parties have different nature, and the biggest difference is that the original one protest against British administration while the latter protest against the U.S government.

On 14th, just a day before Tax Day, the Tea Party Express tour was held in the Boston Common, a park nearby the original Tea Party site. The Tea Party Express tour attracted roughly 5,000 people on the day.
The cross-country Tea Party Express tour built toward a climax when Sarah pain made her speech. She criticized Obama administration’s bills in health care, student loan, and financial regulation.

"Is this what their 'change' is all about?" Palin asked a sun-splashed crowd. "I want to tell them, nah, we'll keep clinging to our Constitution and our guns and religion – and you can keep the change."
The crowd enthusiastically respond to a former republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in her Palin-style red leather jacket, black skirt suit, and glasses.
Later she continued "I'm not calling anyone un-American, but the unintended consequences of these actions are un-American."

The gathering intended to remind protest spirit of citizens, when American colonists protest against British taxation policies in Boston back in 1773 .
“Bostonians have never been afraid to stand up and speak up for principles they believed in. See what Massachusetts did in January, you shook up the U.S. Boston, if anyone knows how to throw a tea party, it is you. ” said Sarah Palin.
After her speech, an event organizer yelled out, "You hear that, my lefty friends? See that? Conservative women: they're smarter than you and they're hotter than you!"

The rally went without any violent action, being aware of criticism for  the white-centered, angry mob protest movement. Certain liberal activist had a heated debate, but no radical action was seen.
However, most of participants were white while an exception, the singer of the Tea Party anthem, Lloyd Marcus, saw himself not as African-American, but American. Asian participants were rarely shown, and most of them seemed to be language students.

Most of participants said they will show their disappointment with the direction of the Obama administration in the November election. Some participants came with their children and family.
Participants were happy to have an interview, but 3 veterans having taken a part in Korean war refused an interview and even photo shooting. Later, they said “We don’t believe the press. We saved South Korea. However, All I could see when I visited Incheon was a “Yankee go home” sign.”

Republican Christy Mihos and independent Timothy Cahill, both candidates of Governor of Massachusetts in November election, were present at the Tea Party Tour in Boston.
However, Republican Charles Baker, a strong candidate of Governor of Massachusetts, was not in attendance and Sen. Scott Brown was absent as well. Instead, he was on the evening radio talk show on the same day. Brown has kept his distance, and so did Baker. He knows risk of getting too close to the red in a liberal blue state.

Palin argued that we can not change Boston from blue to red, but we can change it to purple.
Small groups of  people counter-protested on the opposite side of boston common. Identifying themselves as “People’s Tea Party”, the 18th century costume wearing liberal groups members satirized on “Tea party express”, treating real tea and coffee.
